VeggieH is a mission concept combining high-precision laser measurements with high-resolution multi-spectral remote sensing of vegetation and topography on a global scale. VeggieH answers three scientific questions:
How is carbon storage distributed globally in forests and how is this distribution changing ?
What effects do climate change and anthropogenic influences have on vegetation structure, growth, and disturbance events?
What is the extent and what are the consequences of critical changes in land surface for humans, the environment, and the climate?
We are inviting scientists and policy makers working with remote sensing data to participate in a short questionnaire regarding the user needs for this combined instrument space-borne LiDAR mission. The project team includes partners from Airbus Defense and Space, the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences, the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT, and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.
Answering this questionnaire will only take a couple of minutes and consists of 12 questions. Of course, all responses are anonymous!
